The specialist prescribes what type of orthotics you need based on the assessment and sends them for design. Your new custom foot orthotics will arrive in about a week. Once it does, we will contact you to schedule your next appointment.

By being fitted for custom foot orthotics, the new insole provides the necessary arch support to alleviate the stress on the other areas of the body while supporting proper foot alignment.
We highly recommend that after 1 year of wearing orthotics, patients come in for another biomechanical assessment to evaluate the effectiveness of their orthotics. With time, plastics wear down and orthotics lose their ability to ideally correct your feet. The re-assessment is advised in order to determine if your current orthotics are still functioning optimally or if it is time for you to be recast for a new pair.
Most Extended Health Care (EHC) plans provide coverage for one pair every 1–2 years, though custom orthotics are not covered by OHIP in Ontario.
